Lessons

Lessons are a great way to explore a new hobby or passion. Lessons are one-on-one instructional sessions where we learn new techniques and practice habits on the cello. At the beginning, these sessions will be exploring the basics and will progress towards more complex layers of learning. 30 minutes are typical for younger students as well as beginner students. As your repertoire and practicing expands, the lesson time will expand as well.

One of my goals as a private instructor is to develop the appreciation of music. I do not take students who only want to pursue music as a career or profession, I take any student willing to learn and explore the many facets of music. I thoroughly enjoy expanding the knowledge of a student through private instruction. This is rewarding for both parties. The progress is determined by the skill, the length of lesson, age, and the level of focus and outside daily work done by the student. As a studio teacher I encourage strong practice habits within the student. The student should expect a high level of musicianship from themselves when working with me. Students are expected to practice daily. I encourage consistency of technique and practicing within my studio.

I also offer Zoom Lessons. These lessons are scheduled just the same as in-person and cost $25. Consistent internet and microphone on your device is recommended.
